We specialize in high quality tree pruning and removals.
Good quality tree pruning is an investment which can help trees dramatically compared to those that
are pruned improperly. Trees add tremendous value to the places we live. They improve aesthetics,
reduce noise, reduce pollutants, provide shade, offer privacy, and create habitat for wildlife. On
average, properties with mature and attractive trees are more desirable, sell for more money and sell
more quickly. Good trees are real assets and can add something special to our homes. And they can be
cultivated with good care and proper pruning.

Saws and pruning implements are readily available however knowledge of how to prune trees correctly is not common. The results of misunderstanding pruning can create ungainly trees with a mess of sprouts, or sometimes even create hazards. This can happen when old cuts rot beneath ever growing branches and stems. These trees become dangerous to work on and live with. At a minimum they create significant messes to clean up because the weak sprouts can break and are difficult to prune. At worst they can present serious danger and risk to a property or it’s occupants with large limbs, or entire trees, failing.

Large cuts are susceptible to rot and
decay, and will sprout heavily.

The two largest trees in the image are the same age and species. The left one was “topped” at the red line. Within two years the tree has regrown to its original height. The new growth are slender sprouts, poorly attached, and growing from large cuts that could decay. The one to right retained its original and stronger form.

Once a tree’s structure has been altered the impacts remain for the life of the tree. That is why there is great value in understanding tree care and seeking out work from knowledgeable professionals. We know how to prune all types of trees for the best outcomes.

Our team makes the extra effort to do the best possible job based on personal experience as well as professional knowledge. The owner and operator, Jim Madore, has been working in the trees for close to twenty years and has learned a great deal about how trees respond to pruning. He has developed an eye for how to improve tree structure while maintaining or revealing the beauty of the of the trees natural appearance. In addition he has learned to how to remove trees safely and with minimal impact. He brings these skills with his team to every job.
