High Mountain Tree Care specializes in tree removal, tree pruning, defensible spaces, and consulting services since 2017.
Our goal is to leave your trees healthy, add value to your property, and make your landscape more beautiful. We treat every property like it is our own and develop relationships with our customers to ensure the highest quality care for their trees. Our arborists provide detail oriented work at each job including the clean up.
Meet The Team
Jim Madore
Owner & Certified ISA Arborist
Jim Madore has been an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist since 2017 and has been working as a professional arborist since 2005. He has a current Wilderness First Responder first aid certification and has run multiple tree crews in the Park City and Salt Lake City areas.
He grew up in a small town in Massachusetts where he climbed trees for fun, and to help around his family’s property. While attending high school he worked at a local nursery which furthered his knowledge and passion for trees. He attended Green Mountain College in Vermont and obtained an environmental studies degree. During college he became an avid rock climber, mountaineer, and skier. He has lived in the western United states since 2003, eventually making Utah his permanent home.
He has worked as professional mountain guide for Exum Mountain Guides, NOLS, and spent four seasons working for Yosemite Search and Rescue. Being a climber naturally led him to become a professional tree climber. He apprenticed as an arborist in California taking care of old growth oak trees. After that he was hooked and wanted to learn as much as possible about trees and tree climbing. He continues to blend his rock climbing and rigging skills with the art and science of arboriculture.
Steele Taylor
Steele has had a love for gardens and trees all of his life and has an appreciation for the beautiful and peaceful spaces that they create at home. He also has had a longstanding passion for rock-climbing which has lent itself to working safely in and around the trees thanks to a familiarity with rope work.
He began working at High Mountain Tree Care in 2021 where he is currently studying for his ISA Arborist Certification which he plans to complete by the end of 2023.
